Marble Falls is our home away from home during the winter months. We'll be staying at Sunset Point RV Park where the sites are large, the management is friendly, and the park guests quickly become your friends.
We are taking the long way around and will be stopping in Tofino for a couple of weeks to visit Scott, Stacey, Presley, Weber and of course our new grandson who is expected any day now.

For those who don't know, Tofino is on the west coast of  Vancouver Island. The next stop after that is Japan. The Tofino region is certainly a different area in terms of nature and life style. It rains often but has beautiful beaches and fantastic ocean waves. Everyone in Tofino owns 4 essential items: a rain coat, a dog to walk on the beach with, a surfboard  and a wet suit. Scott had the first 2 and acquired the second 2 shortly after his arrival.

Where we left off

In the spring of 2011, we returned from Texas and moved to Collingwood  Ontario to be with our daughter, Laurie and our soon to be born grandson , Avery. When Laurie returned to teaching, we had the pleasure of having Avery with us when his Mommy went to work and of course grew very fond of him.

Jan started selling Avon and Regal and developed them both into very successful businesses. Both Jan and I worked at Marks Work Warehouse on a part time basis. Between these ventures and spending time with Avery, life was pretty busy.

Personally It was a difficult time for me as I lost an uncle and an aunt, and my mother who passed away this spring. Just before Christmas I flew to Holland to be with my uncle Bob who was extremely ill with heart problems and a serious infection. Although he is on the road to recovery, it is very slow and he has had numerous setbacks.

Our son Scott, Stacey, Presley (our cute grand daughter) and Weber the Wonder Dog moved to Tofino B.C in July . Not only that, they are expecting a baby boy early in September.

These 17 months have flown by and brought us both joy and sorrow. Now we are ready for a new chapter in our lives.
